Cheryl Darrup

Chief Strategist

Cheryl thrives on improving efficiency and integrity, to ultimately minimize waste of any kind.

  • She loves to use leftover ingredients to make creative new meals.
  • She and her husband installed pull-down Murphy beds in just about every room with a window in their upper-level commercial property in downtown Corning, New York.
  • They’re also converting an old shed into an off-the-grid Tiny House on their son’s farm.

Professionally, Cheryl spent much of her career in international enrollment management, building a family of 16 multi-lingual domains all dedicated to connecting non-US students to US universities. In an effort to improve Return on Investment for the company’s campus clients, she developed a funds verification initiative. FundsV empowers student visa applicants (and their financial sponsors) to authenticate their bank data with robust financial technology tools — replacing easily-manipulated paper-based statements. For more than ten years, Cheryl served on the editorial board of “International Educator,” an award-winning magazine published by NAFSA: The Association of International Educators

As Koppa’s Chief Strategist, Cheryl cherishes the opportunity to minimize waste of the most precious commodity: Time. Koppa’s proprietary technology maximizes efficiency in detecting and documenting infringements, so brands of all sizes can focus on their core functions. Cheryl’s favorite part of the job? Working with Intellectual Property firms to provide robust evidentiary data on behalf of our clients — that often leads to financial recovery from infringers and counterfeiters.
